Maidstone River Festival 2022

KSAR were on hand to provide water safety for the 2022 Maidstone River Festival.

This is a free event for everyone, run and self-funded by local volunteers. Boats were dressed up, there was a raft race (we came third woo hoo not last!), fun and games for all the family. In the evening there were illuminated boats and it will all ended with a big bang with an award-winning fireworks display from the top of Fremlin Walk in the town centre.

Water Safety

KSAR provided Boats and Foot Teams to patrol the river and the bank side throughout the event to provide any assistance or support on or off the water. Ideally anyone ending up in the water that did not want to be there, we would help them out.

A couple of rafts needed assistance but the the day went off without incident, which is absolutely great news.
