Christmas Donations

Two generous donations were gratefully received in December: £2000 towards our new Search Control Vehicle from the Inman Charitable Trust and £50 from a raffle held by Hasland Dance Studios in Herne Bay. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

KSAR were delighted to welcome the Shipping Minister, John Hayes MP, to West Hythe Leisure Park, Kent, this morning. The Minister came to see our new rescue boats and didn’t hesitate when offered the chance to don a pfd (personal flotation device) and take to the water. Cotswold Outdoor Film Donation

Canterbury’s Cotswold Outdoor store was recently approached by Friday Filmworks to use the store during filming. All was agreed with the “fee” being a donation to KSAR and two other charities and a cheque for £500 was presented today by store manager Steve Male. A very big “thank you” to all concerned.

KSAR’s Dirty Dozen!

We love “working” at outdoor events and can be found on Saturday 16th April at the “Dirty Dozen Races” on the Hole Park Estate, near Cranbrook. Some of KSAR’s Water Search Teams will be using kayaks, canoes, PFDs, dry-suits and throw-lines (as well as flasks of steaming hot coffee for personal consumption) to make sure competitors safely >>Read the full article…

KSAR Win The High Sheriff’s Award

Kent Search and Rescue have been recognised by The High Sheriff of Kent with an award for “valuable contribution to the community”. The presentation at County Hall, Maidstone, saw the team receive a framed certificate and a cheque for £350. Thank you to William Alexander, The High Sheriff of Kent.    

KCA16 Raffle Prize

We have just received a cheque for £817.95 as proceeds from the evening’s raffle at the KCA, presented by Sangeeta from 6pm News South East. THANK YOU VERY MUCH KENT CHARITY AWARDS!‬  Congratulations to Abigail’s Footsteps, this year’s well-deserved winners!
