Two generous donations were gratefully received in December: £2000 towards our new Search Control Vehicle from the Inman Charitable Trust and £50 from a raffle held by Hasland Dance Studios in Herne Bay. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

KSAR were delighted to welcome the Shipping Minister, John Hayes MP, to West Hythe Leisure Park, Kent, this morning. Canterbury’s Cotswold Outdoor store was recently approached by Friday Filmworks to use the store during filming. All was agreed with the “fee” being a donation to KSAR and two other charities and a cheque for £500 was presented today by store manager Steve Male. A very big “thank you” to all concerned.
We love “working” at outdoor events and can be found on Saturday 16th April at the “Dirty Dozen Races” on the Hole Park Estate, near Cranbrook. Kent Search and Rescue have been recognised by The High Sheriff of Kent with an award for “valuable contribution to the community”. The presentation at County Hall, Maidstone, saw the team receive a framed certificate and a cheque for £350. Thank you to William Alexander, The High Sheriff of Kent.
