Kent Search And Rescue in conjunction with Kent Police and Kent Fire And Rescue Service have created a video that aims to show how a completed ‘At Risk of Going Missing Form’ can help the Police and Search Teams to locate and rescue vulnerable missing persons.
Please watch and share this as widely as you can.
When someone vulnerable goes missing, and their life may be at risk, EVERY SECOND COUNTS. For families who look after a person who is living with a physical or mental health condition which may cause them to go missing, both police, and search and rescue teams, actively encourage the completion of a “Herbert Protocol” form NOW… just in case!
The form can help to record a lot of useful information about the person, and this can be vital in helping police and search teams, should the person go missing, and may save vital minutes.
In Kent the form is known as the “At Risk of Going Missing” form. We hope that our video will encourage families to complete a form, by showing what a difference having a ready-completed form can make, when EVERY SECOND COUNTS!
