Kent Search and Rescue Lowland is a registered charity (Number 1091181). We are an independant organisation manned by a dedicated team of volunteers and funded entirely from public donations.

Operating costs of approx. £13,000 per year are met primarily by the efforts of the team members who organise fundraising opportunities, undertake sponsored events, do collections at local stores and assist at community events. We hold recruitment days to encourage new volunteers and demonstrate our work. Capital items and major equipment costs are met from donations and the proceeds from any fundraising efforts we hold.

Donations of any size are always welcome and help keep our unique service running.

Our fundraising target for 2009/10 - A new control vehicle.

Our current vehicle is rather long in the tooth but has served us well. We need to look to the future and to aim to have a new control vehicle up and running within the next 1-2 years to maintain our operational standard. Please help us to achieve our target.

There are lots of wonderful activities you can organise in aid of Kent Search and Rescue. Even though a fundraising event might seem daunting, with lots of enthusiasm, commitment and support you will find the experience enjoyable and very rewarding.
